Atharv, along with Aarav Patel (UC Berkeley EECS Class of 2025), recently won a hackathon hosted by Soma Capital. They created AutoCrispy, an AI-powered genome engineering assistant. The project uses multi-agent systems to streamline CRISPR guide design, off-target risk prediction, and protocol generation, all in one sleek tool. This project hopes lower the friction to implementing CRISPR systems in experimental protocols. Atharv drew from his background in computational biology, developed in the QEM Lab, to help ideate and implement the system’s logic and biological reasoning layer.
